La Moara
La Moara is considered one of the village’s most iconic guesthouses. It was the first to open during Nymfaio’s revival, paving the way for the development of gentle, sustainable tourism. It soon became the model for the architectural style and philosophy of the guesthouses that followed, as well as the harmonious meeting point for many of the village’s most important cultural events.
Faithfully reflecting the character of the region’s historic mansions, La Moara combines the richness of local tradition with all modern comforts. The property is surrounded by a wide alpine meadow, lush gardens, and fir trees, creating a serene natural setting that embraces every visitor.
Services / Amenities
The guesthouse offers eight comfortable rooms, two cozy living areas, a traditional Kalos Ontas with embroidered velentzes, floor cushions, fireplaces, and a recreation room featuring a billiard table, board games, and a library. Two of the rooms are attic-style and can accommodate two guests. The remaining spacious rooms can host up to two adults and two children.
La Moara’s renowned Wine Cellar features a curated selection of the finest wines from the Macedonian vineyards, covering a wide range of varieties. It is also one of the few guesthouses in Nymfaio that provides private parking, along with a lounge area where drinks and snacks are served until late in the evening.
